My transmission dipstick tube has broken off right in the middle of the bracket that holds it. I hope to pull it out and just weld it and put it back, if that doesn't work I'll get a new one. My problem is I cannot get to the bracket bolt(also bolt that bolts the tranny to the engine) in any which way. I can almost touch it by going in from the top, but will no way be able to get a wrench on it to get it off; I can see it from the bottom, and might be able to get a wrench on it but can't get my arm up far enough. I spose my 4" downpipe isn't helping much there, and I really don't want to pull it out, but I have a feeling I'm gonna have to. Just wondering what anyone has done, if they've done this, to get it out without pulling the downpipe?
