Air Fury

Saw this on page 20 of the May Four Wheeler, called Air Furry for 00-05 Ford 7.3 and 6.0, suppose to drop EGT's by 62 degrees and increase gas millage by 3-4 MPG. Anyone running one?

It's a fancy Zoodad mod. Allows fesh air into the engine compartment. Has a ram air affect for those PSD's with stock or AIS intakes.
BS on mileage gains. Maybe a few degrees lower Egt's but not measureable.

Sure doesn't look like it.

I like the claims they make...add up to 150 horsepower...and then later ...does not raise EGT's... What a bunch of crap. What ever happened to truth in advertising?

You don't need to buy it. They show you where to cut the hole on their website. All you have to do is cut it, the intake snorkel is less than 2" behind the radiator support. You'll get their "ram air" effect without the fancy guide. There is no way you'll get 3-4 MPG with that mod....maybe .3-.4

How much is this thing anyways? You could just get yourself a piece of mesh and rivet in your own..

I went to Lowes and bought a louvered air vent with mesh, trimmed it down and screwed it in. No water, no bugs get through.

No, they are not afiliated with Diablosport. The claims they make are absolute bs as well... Just my 2 cents.

If you're serious, Autozone or Advanced have one you mount on the hood. It has about a 12" x 12" area for a hole. Where would you mount it? The air intake would have to be off center over the drivers side wheel well/battery area. It might look a little strange mounted in that area.
