Center Hole?
First let me tell you what I'm doing: I don't want to take my trailer out of state. Weigh stations at entries to each state are a consideration.
I bought a 1980 F350 4X4. I changed the title and am going back to MD with tags to drive it up to NJ. I am also taking two wheels and tires (from my 1990 F350) to mount on the 1980 since we don't trust the tires which have been sitting for some time. The truck already has a spare which has never touched the ground in 25 years. That should cover me in the event any tires go down.
Obviously, if the center hole ON THE 1990 is larger than the spindles ON THE 1980 the wheels will go on to the 1980 with room to spare, you state that bolt patterns are the same.
But if the opposite is true, although the bolt pattern would be the same, the wheels would balk at trying to be mounted onto the 1980, since the spindles would not fit thru the smaller holes.

You should be able to buy a lug wrench that has different sizes on it at pretty much any parts store. Or pick one up from a junkyard.
My lug nuts are 13/16 I belive. Not sure if that's standard or not.

The center holes on Ford wheels should be all the same, the center hole on GM wheels are smaller but the bolt circle is the same, Dodge and Ford will fit each other and can fit on a GM, GM wheels fit only GM.
I think I have it sraight but you should check and make sure. It's been a long day.
