Mtflat and FL55 at Airshow2005

Ran into Mtflat at the airshow...or rather..he ran into me. I was taking a pic of a jet and as I snapped the pic he said,"It ought to have a Ford emblem on it." from behind me. Hmmm... now THAT might be a switch..from big block to humongous vacuum cleaner!!

Good to see you and meet your wife. If you didn't get any pictures, let me know. I got a few and am going to burn some off onto a cd to send a couple friends. No problem to add one more to the batch.

Sure Dick, I'd be glad to have a copy. Great show wasn't it? That C5 Galaxy just inspires awe as you wander thru it's belly. Think my favorite was the F15 when they stand it on it's tail and just go vertical.

Spent the afternoon about a mile north of the runway today for the Blue Angel's show. A couple of times we found ourselves in the middle of the formation as they regrouped for the next run. To have a hornet on each side of you go screaming by just 200 yds away below tree-top level does something to your blood. The pilots in our armed forces have my utmost respect.

I talked with Dr Vranishes son, at the Apache. Also told some of the other guys, especially the guy in the C5A that I hope he knows he is one of the "privileged few" and to be damned proud of his time. He shook my hand, looked me in the eye and said "thanks... you don't know how much that's appreciated." I said..yes I do, I'm a Nam vet.

As soon as I get some CDs burned, I'll bring one out to ya.

You guys are making me jealous... been a few years since I have been to an airshow, and they don't get all that close around here. Dick, you deserve a pat on the back for that, and for your time as well.

If you'd like a CD of the pics I got...none are totally awesome, but still worth gawkin' at, send me your snail mail address and I'll add you to the list of burn offs.

Hey, I FINALLY took a look at those pics you shot, not bad at all, very enjoyable. I almost forgot about having the disc, it got put into my console in my truck and forgotten... I got it out and got a look at them this evening. If you are interested, I have some that I can scan onto a disc from Osh Kosh a few years ago, and maybe even some from Sioux Falls. I have to say though it is pretty cool to have that mountain backdrop... only could see such out to Rapid around here...
