Anyone have any? I am in the process of replacing the motor in my `79 F-150 Supercab 4x4 LWB, and have an electrical problem of a couple sorts, and don't have the wiring schematics from the factory which I would like to get... For example...
1) Rear stock gas tank always shows 100% full, even when empty.
2) All stock wiring turns all parking lamps on when hitting brakes.
3) All stock wiring blinks all running lights when turning on turn signal.
4) Reverse lights do not work. When putting it in reverse, all running lights light.
I had to do some "custom" wiring to get them to work correctly, but it would be nice to be able to put it back to normal, where I don't have to flick switches to get the reverse lights to work, or guess how much fuel is left in the tank!
1) Sounds like shorted wire or bad sending unit. Disconnect the wire going to the tank and see if it still reads full. If it does, I think you have a short in the wire, if not it is the sending unit.
2,3,&4) Sounds like a grounding problem.
