looking for a new tow vehicle

I am looking to buy a new van for my wife to replace our 1999 windstar, and figure I'll try and get something that can also pull my 7K travel trailer (I use my F-250 now, but it only seats 3 and we are a family of 6)

Any thoughts the Ford full-sized vans?

Thanks,

Greg

Sounds like an E-250 with V-10 is in order. If you ask up in the V-10 forum, there are several guys in there pulling TT's with this setup.

V10 E-Series as suggested is a good opion and you might want to consider the PSD 6.0 E-series as well.

Wink

The van is definitely for you with your crew!. i just ordered a F350 CC V10 to pull my 7K travel trailer (There is only 3 of us plus the dog). There is a lot of great information on this site to help you pick the best options to meet your needs.

Good Luck! .

Greg, A full size van is a big step up for a gal to have to drive everyday. I might suggest that you look for one 3-4 years old to pull the camper, and something smaller for mom to drive if the budget will allow.

I know it's in season right now, but with some careful shopping you should be able to find a used low milage 250 van for a great price. Them things are great gas consumers and folks are wanting to sell them off. They are also one of the best traveling vehicles on the road. IMHO
