Fuel Pump Problems?

Fuel Pump Problems?
Hey,
My 77' F-100 has just recently been wanting to hesitate real bad in 3rd gear (it is a 3 speed). It's like the gas pedal isn't doing anything. I figured maybe it was the fuel pump or the fuel filter. I don't know much about vehicles so i was just looking for some input. Any help at all would be much appreciated.

The first thing I would check would be the fuel filter, in the past I have had a hard
time with fuel pumps on 351w engines, I even got some bad ones that were
brand new, and some that would only last weeks before going bad! At the top
of this forum there is a sticky that has lots of things to look at!
