Hey I am new to this board but I have owned my 98 F150 XLT 4.2l V6 for a number of years and it runs great. I have 290 000km or 180206miles on it so I think I am doing pretty good. But my question is what can you do to prolong the life even more of the truck. I don't use it for towing or anything really hard. It is just my fun vechile for stereo contests. But I want it to last as long as possible. And if you guys know of some where I can get my hands on a really big alternator something around the 200+amps range.

 

For longevity of the motor make sure to change fluids and filters regularly.
