92 Engine noise...tic
I haven't had any performance issues with the vehicle for a long time, and still don't, except recently I've noticed a ticking noise that seems to come from on top of the engine. I think it's always been there since I've owned it, but it seems exceptionally loud now. Even my 14 year old has made a comment about it! I've done a visual check of the plug wires (the sound is similar to a wire arcing whenever the plug fires) and can't find anything. Could injectors make a similar noise?
I should also say that I only notice it at idle, regardless of warm or cold engine. I suspect it's there when driving too, but I can't hear it.

The fuel injectors do make a clicking noise. I've heard of cases where a bad computer ground causes the injector noise to be extra loud. Valve lifter noise is also common to these cologne engines. Make sure the oil level is correct. Can you usea stethoscope or equivalent to isolate the noise better?
