I am finally getting to replacing the frame-shackle bracket on my rear spring. Got the old bracket off fine and fast, now I cant get the bolt out of the shackle(the bottom bolt). The nut came off with a little persuasion, but the bolt wont come out at all, tried to air-hamer it out(with a dimpled bit to fit over the bolt end) but it wont budge. Any tips to get it out?? I dont want to replace the whole shackle, I need to get this fixed ASAP. My buddies father(ex mechanic how supplied all the HD tools) said to heat the bolt up and out some wax on it. Will that work?? Any way to get this damn bolt out would be considered, need help by tomorrow PLEASE!!!!!

 

Use heat fella. I've got a broken bolt in my front shock mount and i am going to use heat in the morning.
