SpaceKom "miles per gallon" guage

I found a SpaceKom "miles per gallon" guage in a pile of older collected stuff. I searched the web and had no hits on this guage. It is metal and well built, so must be some info about it somewhere. Anyone ever seen one? I need to know how to wire it. Has 4 wires, red white, black & yellow. Thanks for your help guys.

I remember when GM put mileage gauges on some cars...they were basically nothing more than a vacuum gauge. Does yours have a hose fitting on it?

No, and thats what I thought too. Just the 4 wires. I understand getting mpg from vacuum pressure, but not electrically. Sooooo?

I'd think it might have had a paddle wheel in the fuel line and a generator off the speedo cable.

If so contact the seller and see if they can help. Even if it isn't the same model the seller may be able to help.

Hahaha

Try this one....

Check out this item from ebay (copy and paste the link since fte is discriminatory about links) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=7958476125

It might not be the same model as yours, but the seller may know where you can find the info you need.
