1. Just put my gauges in and the boost never goes over 18 psi, is this standard for a empty, stock '03 7.3 truck? It has a Tymar intake and HOG 4" exhaust, no fuel mods, and disconnected wastegate. Thanks in advance for everyones input.
2. I bought the HPX mod hose from DieselSite.com, and cannot for the life of me figure out what two ports in goes in. I can see a similar looking hose coming out of the drivers side bank, but I am just a shadetree mechanic. Help, Please?
18 psi is normal for a stock engine.
There's these plugs on the HPOP galley on each head that you need to remove and install the HX line. Did they not send you any instructions? How about on thier website? Anything there?
if your motor is similar to mine 97 & 03 i mean. you need to move that hpo feed line one port forward. and then run your hpx line from one bank to the other right behind y pipe. here is a pic of the passenger side. then just look straight across and that is where it goes too. the line that is there move forward like i said. good luck
I didn't get anything in the way of directons, and the website has one picture that really doesn't show much. But then again, if I wrenched on this engine alot I might know what the picture is saying. Thanks for the assistance gentleman!
