Need Mileage! 2002 Ford Supercrew 4x4

What can I do to improve my gas mileage? I am currently getting about 13 mpg in the city. Dual exhaust?, chip?- if a chip which one do I need, where can I get one install in Houston, Tx? how much? - I just need gas efficiency at this time. I have plenty of power for what I use it for. Thanks for the information.

I'll start things off with the usual mileage improvers:

1. Tire pressure. Look inside the door, on the sticker, and inflate tires to spec'd pressure.
2. Replace plugs and plug wires
3. Run regular, non-ethanol gasoline.
4. Check for computer codes
5. Replace air filter
6. Make sure no brakes are dragging
7. Drive for mileage

The factory setup is optimized for mileage. With the CAFE regulations, Ford has pretty much optimized the thing for mileage. You're not going to be able to do much improvement. If you really want to improve something, change your tires to a taller, narrower tire.
