Noise during idle and low speeds

Noise during idle and low speeds
Lets see if anyone has heard of this one...
I've got a '04 Lariat F-150 Supercrew, she's a beauty. Recently I've noticed a new sound coming out of the engine compartment of the truck. The sound only occurs while the truck is in drive and either not moving (stoplights) or barely moving (no gas, just forward momentum of being in drive at low speeds). Noise goes away completely if the truck is put in Park/Neutral. It sounds like a vibration and can be felt in the gas pedal when it occurs. Initially I thought it was related to the air conditioner and the recent heat waves that have hit colorado. But I've also noticed the noise/vibration when the air conditioner is not on. I'm beginning to fear that is related to TSB 4-17-5 relating to the rear axle clutch pack failure. The noise is exhibited through the engine compartment however... Any ideas?

I have the EXACT same noise. I've been searching for several weeks for info on it; but to no avail. I've been under & over the engine many times, but still no luck. I don't want to take it to the dealer because I already know the "we can't duplicate the problem" or "it's normal" lines...
I've also searched to 'other' f150 site, again to no avail...

Took the truck in last week and had them take a look at the issue. I've installed a aftermarket K&N cold air intake (series 77) on the truck and it turns out the intake has been rubbing against my power steering reservoir. This was causing the vibration that I was hearing at low speeds. The tech simply installed a small piece of rubber adhesive to the power steering reservoir where the intake was rubbing on it and the sound has almost completely disappeared. Hope this was of some help...
