Midway Ford has been pretty good to work with. Stay away from Blue Springs Ford, I used to work there and I know that the better of their diesel techs have left them. I think Olathe or Midway would be your best bets. Havent heard anything about service from Metro, Bob Sight or Bill Woods so I cant say good or bad. Might also try Thoroughbred......huge dealership is bound to have at least one good tech.

I live in DeSoto, KS and have used Shawnee Mission Ford for 99.9% of my work. I went to Olathe Ford once and had great service, but went back to Shawnee Mission Ford after them and I getting on the same page.
The lube guys are not good, but the 6.0L techs are and will allow you to watch if you like (or at least me which I do like)!!!! They will talk with you and explain what they know and what they do not know. They tend to tow the company line, but I would expect them to anyway.
Shawnee Mission Ford works on all of the MedAct vehicles for Johnson County and they are busy working on all their vehicles on a rotating basis... and they are all diesels.
What kind of work do you need done? Personally, I like Shawnee Mission and Olathe... just ask questions and stick to your guns and "work with them... and they will work with you."
Good luck,
Jeff

Thanks guys, I ended up having it fixed in Glenwood, IA which is where I was at. It was a injection control pressure sensor that went bad. It was causing surging rough idle, smoke and dying.
I am sure SMF is still as good as it was before a friend of our is still a diesel tech there. He has worked there for 10-15 years. My dad and him used to work on the Medact vehicles and most of the county and city cop cars. They even did Miami county back then too.
