Got a 96 psd that wont turn over, I can cross out the starter relay and it will start, so I'm assuming a new relay ,however the day this happened last week after I crossed out the relay to get it started I drove the vehicle about 25 miles heading home and came to a stop sign , stopped and then started to go and the tranny would not shift from 2nd to 3rd, acted like it was in nuetral..It did finally and then wouldnt go into OD . It did this all the way home(about 50 miles). Thought maybe low on fluid, so I checked and was about quart low. Added the fluid and drove another 12 miles to home and it was fine. Next day drove it about 23 miles and tranny did the same thing again not shifting from 2nd to third then from 3rd to OD. I have not replaced the starter relay yet but will tomorrow, my question is this....could the problem with my tranny be electronic since I'm also having trouble with the relay and they both started on the same day???????

Never mind guys..I found the problem, it was the PRNDL switch on the tranny, apparently the locking clip on the wire harness was broken off and allowed the harness to wiggle loose, I straped it down to a good connection and things are fine for now!!!
