Red face Models of ??

I ocassionaly do models, but not stock. 1 of mine is an X-cab dual axle. I used 2 standard narrow-bed kits to make a "SuperCab" with dual axles and a 9' bed. Selecting the right place to cut is crutial so the front and back pieces fit. A bit of bondo works if put on in thin layers and dried. I build for contest and fine detail is the key. Colored thread or fine wire can be used for plug wires, brake lines, etc. Finger nail polish will give the seats a leather "look".

I found out the deal on these Model Kits.

They are special order.

Apparently AMT/ERTL will make any model that someone wants as long as they order 5000 minimum of them.

Makes me thing how many we could require on this forum

I know I would like at least 3 of them.

They only made 10,000 of them.

By the way is doubles as a bank.

Cool I found someone else who builds models too like like their trucks! I will post some pics of mine asap! It's a Bigfoot body with "mad mudder" front/rear ends and wheel and tires.

Canadian Tire 79 Ford pickup

I just bought one of those 79 Ford pickup die cast models from Canadian Tire last night. They were on sale for $19.99. The hood doesn`t open, but both doors do, and there is a little box in the bed of the truck that the lid flips up to put coins into. Not as well detailed as some of my Action Collectables, and other drag race cars, but for $19.99, how can you go wrong?! The one I bought was red, as were the others that were in the store. They also had a similar mid 50`s Fargo pickup model. A Fargo was a Canadian Dodge truck, similar to how Ford sold Mercury trucks up here from the late 40`s until 1968. The Fargos were made until 1972.
