more power on one tank vs other

SO the gas guage on my front tank has never worked and now it has less power than the rear tank as well. If I keep a steady throttle and switch tanks the truck practically jumps because of how much more power its getting from the rear tank.

Is my feul pump in the front tank the problem?

What else could cause these conditions?

I agree with your best guess. Fuel pump would most likely be the cause as far as I can figure. Sounds like the fuel pump is tired too. No electrical issues... My vote: fuel pump.
