tried to start truck key on, no dash lights, no radio, starts buzzing under dash will not stop buzzing unless you turn lights on, or disconnect battery. batteries are fully charge when you try to turn key abs light and air bag light blink. lights will not turn on either "happy diesel owner"

Sorry, I may not understand all of your info, may I start with Clean, check, tighten your battery conncetions,

The buzzing, normally when trying to start, tells me low voltage, if your batteries are fully charged, you are not making good connection.

we have been seeing a lot of this lately...
have your batts tested.
if they are both good... start checking cables, connections, grounds.
auto zone, napa, wall mart should all test batts for free.

key on no lights dash etc

checked batteries 12.2- 12.4 volts each one (interstate batteries) cables clean. when key turned on no dash lights at all, no lights on radio. headlights will not come on or interior lights have been having to lift gearshift to make sure in park to crank over.

You need to load test the batteries. Most common parts stores, i.e. Autozone, O'reilly's, will have a load tester. Even very weak batteries will show good voltage on a voltmeter. I'm betting it's the batteries.

Biloxi dude, give me a PM with contact info and I can maybe come over and add my .02 cents.

given your latest clue leads me to believe you have a bad switch indicating truck is in park. you need this for starting consent. any truck / car will do exactly your symptom if you try to start it in drive.

Plus we could swap in my red tops which are known good batteries.

Joe, he only has 2 posts...so he can't PM you until he's over 25 posts (or somewhere around there). Maybe you can try to email him your information via his profile?

Agreed with the comment about load testing. I had same problem on 2-year old batteries (as in 23 months old). Lots of disco lights, buzzing, all sorts of problems, and no start. Yet, they would ohm out at 12.4 - 12.8. When I went to get them load tested (charged them up overnight, and was lucky enough for the truck to start)...turned out one was BAD and other was getting there soon.

There is a spray you can buy from communist wal mart for the terminal connections to help reduce corrosion. I think most car parts stores have the spray also.

I take offense to the WM jab, but I also understand where it comes from.

As for protection petroleum jelly or hairspray will also work.
