Edelbrock #2105, $229, Edelbrock 1406, $244 This will get you started. You'd better put on your spare back cuz you are going to screw it up when you try taking off the old manifold!

no joke, these old manifolds are heavy. mine weighs 65 pounds. took me and my dad to get it off with the help of some rope and a prybar to get it up high enough to grab under it. i would suggest getting a couple of friends if u cant get a hoist. but the good thing is that the aluminum intake is mugh lighter and you can set it on there by yourself. i would go with the edelbrock, just because i had good results with mine. although i dont know what helped it more, all that weight off the front of the engine, or the better flowing intake? anyways, i went holley for the carb, but edelbrocks are good as well. my buddy had good luck with his, so just find a carb that u like in ur budget. a 600 or 650 would work great on your engine. good luck.

May I respectfully suggest you reconsider? I looked at the pictures, not good! Not wanting to be picky here or overly critical but you have some issues far more important than adding a 4V intake. What is with the clutch pedal? The horn button? The rubber fuel line in the cab with you!!! The engine is in need of attention, rubber hoses for the air cleaner, plug wires, a wash. I noticed a For Sale sign. If you are selling this truck, you need to clean it up and fix those inexpensive but important things. IMHO!

i understand you concern and appreciate your suggestions, but the truck is a project truck and as of right now won't run properly. i would like to get it sound first and then start on those easy inexspensive things youve talked about i bought this as is and have been working on it for over a year i was made from like four trucks so unfortunaely i find little things like rubber gas hoses and horn buttons part of the fun. at least its antique and i dont have to pass inspection. i dont need it perfect just good enough to go in the woods.
