On the '01 model I owned, the tube just 'snapped' into the oil pan. Give it a good tug and it'd come right out... had to do this for header installation.

When I put headers on my 02 v10 the tube came out easily. If you have to fight it, something is very wrong. bill

Not trying to be smart but have you removed the bolt holding the bracket to the side of the head?

Wow! My tube also came out very easy. Can't imagine what would cause one to stick so bad. Will the tube spin or is it completely jammed?

really stuck

yes the bolt is out, that is where it broke.
the bracket for that bolt is attached to what is left
of the dipstick, and that's what i was able to run a loop
through, and hook on with the slide hammer.
