hmmmmm....personally I don't want wife help in my garage...LOL. My wife is a plant person. I tell her the backyard looks like a rainforest...LOL. She'll get some new plant and want to show me....I just check it out and say cool....I finished my motor and tried to to show her....she might've looked if I had put a plant on top of it....LOL.
I just took a look under the tarp at the old 1965 352. The mounts are marked "top", and naturally, that is on the top. The stud is offset toward the front of the motor and not the rear as I originally thought.
There's one thing you have to be careful of buying C6 parts online; be sure you check the listed application. The C6s changed slightly in '76 and some of the parts don't interchange; I think it was reverse clutches (or direct or forward). I made this mistake. The bulkpart guys were pretty cool about me returning stuff but it was still aggravating. They also don't sell individual clutches but that's understandable.
If you want totally high performance C6 parts check out these guys:

I bought a lot of roller parts for my tranny from them.
Finally, read this article:

It gives a lot of pointers for a solid do-it-yourself C6 rebuild. Okay, I'm done now.
