Glass Polish?

My driver's side wiper got tired. So I installed a new one, complete blade with insert.

Let step-son borrow vehicle for a 180 mile round trip. It was a very rainy day (Sunday).

Now I have an arc cut into glass at top of wiper sweep!!

I cannot understand why that happened. There was no mark on the glass at all with the old wiper. The new wiper seems to work OK. And the windshield washer works fine and has water.

Anyway, here is my question: Is there a product that will let me polish out the arc in the glass. It is not at all deep -- have to look to find it.

Anybody actually done this successfully? Is it even possible?

Thanks JimW411.

That's kind of what I was afraid of.

There is a product that can take the scratches out of glass. I'm not sure what it's called anymore or even the link to where I read about it...but it was somewhere in this forum area. Somebody might know more about it, just keep looking!
