I posted earlier this spring about some timing trouble (aka flaming idiot) that i had with my 86'460.
Turns out that the harmonic balancer has been slipping, ergo, leading me to believe that the timing was off. (I quit believing it)
The outer ring is slipping, not just "slipped" ...yeppers. My question, since the 460 is externally balanced, does that mean that the "hatchet looking weight" stays on the driveshaft and I only replace the ring dampner? Or... do they have to be changed as a pair? Thanks folks, Barca-"two more months of 100deg"Texas.
