Question Ac Blowing Cold From Rear

VAN IS BLOWING COLD AIR FROM REAR
AUX AND FRONT IS BLOWING WARM AIR
IT HAS THE OLD R12 SYSTEM IN IT
AC COMPRESSOR IS WARM NOT COLD
CAN ANY TELL ME IF THEY HAD THE SAME PROBLEMS

if the rear is working, and the front is not, sounds likeorfice for the front evaporater is plugged. vehicle A/C compressors bodies are usually warm, the acumulator will be cold though.

To me this sounds like you are running low on refrigerant. The back AC always do a better job than the front because they do not have a blend door. They always run colder than the front (at least with my experience). When ever I had the front perform poorly with the A/C it was because of low refrigerant. It unfortunately also means that you probably have a little leak somewhere.

MY 1990 HAS THE OLD R12 SYSTEM IN IT IS THERE A KIT THAT I CAN
CONVERT TO R134a

If you aren't empty, I saw a can of R-12 substitute to top off those systems, no point in dumping and converting if you aren't empty.
