Hello forum. I had a holley on the ole 1978 f250 460. I havent really liked the carb and found a motorcraft at a swap meet.

I need to rebuild it because the accellerator pump is not working. I cant find any numbers on the carb to know what rebuild kit to order. All I can see in the word "motorcraft" and then a the number "2" on the top plate.

This carb is a 4 barrel..... spread bore with the wide bolt hole pattern. Fits great on the truck!. Just needs rebuild kit so the accellerator pump can work.

I cant even find a site that offers a Rebuild kits for any motorcraft. Seems they are placing with edelbrocks and holley. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Ron

 

It is a 4350 series carb. I never liked them myself.

 

Thanks for the feedback. What would be your recommended carb for the 78 460 for best mileage. I was told the stock motorcraft 4 bbl would be the best by the local mechanic. Anyone have a better idea that experienced better mileage with other carbs? thanks Ron
