Reverse light fuse keeps blowing

Reverse light fuse keeps blowing
I have a 98 B4000 and it keeps blowing the reverse light fuse which is also the fuse that has the overdrive on it I think. I know that when it blows you can no longer push the overdrive button and have the o/d off light on the dash come on. Anybody have any ideas>? Thnks! Chris

It's sounds like you have a short. I would crawl under the truck and take a look and all the wiring that goes to the tranny and make sure nothing got burnt by the exaust pipe or the cat.

I just remembered, I heard something in this forum within the last week about the wiring that goes from underneath the truck up through the floor under the drivers seat, chaffing or shorting out. I would check that area too it may be the culprit.
