Updates on Project Shocker

Thought I would just start a new post to keep the updates on the upgrades in.

Shocker is a 87 Ford extended cab Ranger STX. It is powered by a 1980 mustang 302 carbed motor. Around 300 HP. Transmission is a T-18 4 speed and has been adapted to a BW 1350 T-case. Gears are 4:10's Dana 35 front locked and 7.5 rear welded. It has a 3" body and suspinsion lift. Running 32x11.50 tires mounted on 15 x 10 Outlaw II wheels.

I bought the truck last July it had a broken right front axle and it looked like this when I first got it, then it got a bath.

I have swapped the Dana 28 out and replaced it with a Dana 35 out of a 93 Explorer. I have a detroit locker in it now and the rear is welded. Here is the article I wrote on the swap Dana 35 swap

I have been working on the looks now. I swapped beds to a bed with cut out fenders and flares. I painted the frame and axles Ford Blue. Today I finished installing the new fenders with cut outs and flares. This is what it looks like now

When I finally get it all done the paint design will look almost like this

If it were me, I'd do less flare and more... umph. How do you describe that..? umm, you know, make it look more studly as opposed to pretty. you know what I mean? I'm not cuttin down your truck, don't get me wrong. It looks good, especially from the condition you bought it in, but maybe needs a little something different, not paint decals

I see your point, the main thing I want right now is a solid solid color. After I see it in one solid color I may leave it that way. Before any design gets painted on it I still have mechincal stuff to do. Rear end is getting swapped, minor performance upgrades to the motor, and first bigger tires to fill in the cut outs. As performance goes, it is mostly a trail truck and does a awsome job on the trail prior to the front end swap, only had it out 2 times since the swap and not on trails like the past yet. Mud is a different story with the 32" tires and the TTB front end it acts like a bulldozer. Power wize lets just say it will haul down the road.
