OD Ratio
I have a 5spd OD Mazda R2 manual transmission in my F150. I am figuring out what tires to put on it and what rearend gears to put in. I was wondering what the Overdrive ratio is for this transmission. I am figuring it to be about 0.9:1. Is this correct? Is fourth gear a 1:1 ratio?

Jim, The 4th gear ratio should be 1:1. But i cant find any info on that particular tranny for the OD. I know the OD on the E4OD is .71:1 and the OD on the AOD is .67:1.I would assume they wouldnt design the manual with an OD gear as high as the autos due to the autos ability to slip a little in the torque converter.Maybe somewhere between .80 and .90 ,Ill try some of my other manuals when I get home and see if i cant get you some more info.
