Subaru 7-Passenger SUV?

Subaru has just come out with the B9-Tribeca (what kind of name is that?) which is supposdely a 7-passenger SUV. It is also the uglyest thing going. I think the Ridgeline, Element, Baja, Astek, and Avalanche might all have been beaten.

To me, it looks quite small. But all Subarus are quite small. The Dash is also the uglyest thing going. What's your take?

I saw one on the 101 yesterday. It's ugly from just about every angle as well as slower than anything else in it's price range. I believe it's a little under $40K for that turd.

Kind of reminds me of the Mitsubishi Axium in the front. I saw a picture of it in Truck Trend a while back and talk about ugly. Oh well to each their own.

Boy, I'd love to comment, but my boss just happens to be the largest Subaru dealer in North America. Let's just say it looks to me like the illegitimate love child of an Acura MDX and an Alfa-Romeo 164. But you know what? The Subaroonies will love it!

Not the prettiest vehicle, and given Subaru's experience with "styling issues" I am unsure as to how it will sell.
The "bug-eyed" Impreza never sold that well, so they rushed along a styling change for it.

Ever since the Subaru Brumby (I think you guys called them the Subaru Brat), I have quite admired Subarus, that car would just take a beating, and keep on going, and going, and going.
I also love the throb of that flat four. Hearing one tearing around a rally cuircuit is pure bliss.

Those brumbys had a tendency to rot out the front shock towers. A friend of mine had one where the coil or strut rested against the underside of the hood. After I saw that one I always looked and every single one I saw was rotten. Also on the GLs the fuel filler neck would rot out and put mud in the fuel tank. Gotta keep bout 20 fuel filters on hand til you get it all out.

I have always been fond of the brats. I have owned probably a dozen subarus but not a single brat.

That suv sure is ugly.

If the center grill was solid it would pass as a renault. Ugly, well yeah, it's not beautiful. Aztec ugly? come on, not even close.

All that...for the price of a nicely equipped Tahoe or Expy!

Shoot, you can get a BMW X3 or even the 3.0i X5 for that price.

Thats a good point, and unless I am mistaken, it will only have the 3.0l boxer six pushing it around.
I am guessing, and I could be wrong, but performance may not be the greatest with the extra weight, compared to the likes of a Liberty.
