02 oil leak
i fired up the 02 today and saw a puddle of motor oil coming out from the passenger front about under the radiator.
about 1 gallon in 45 seconds of run time.
unfortunately, i currently can't get under it to see where it is leaking due to leg and hip issues from a fall earlier this am..
any ideas where it could be leaking from?

i was swapping the tube steps for running boards on the 2014 yesterday and my "helper" (a dumber than a box of rocks 75 lb rottweiler) kept stealing every tool i set down and scattered them all over the yard.
then as i was cleaning up to switch to the passenger side, she came running full bore around the truck and slammed rite into me knocking me off the work seat.
twisted the right knee, ankle, and smashed the hip as i went down then she jumped on me to play cause i was down.
i never thought of the oil cooler. almost all my diesel experience is with the IDI which has the oil cooler on the driver side of the engine.
so i just assumed the powerstroke also has the oil cooler on the driver side.

I was a bit torn in pointing toward the front bracket of the oil cooler because we all know it is on the driver side of the engine. Although, being that the leak is said to be coming from "under about the radiator", I did not initially suspect the oil dipstick tube seal. The front cover was another suspect, but rarely do we see that happen.
Although, anything is possible and @tjc transport we look forward to your findings in the near future.

The front part of the oil cooler can leak down the frame bracket and drip on the ground and on the front axle nearer the passenger side, so it makes sense to think it isn't suspect. I just fixed this on truck last week. Same leak area. After digging and finding a dry valley, it led me to examine that part of the cooler and sure enough, it was leaking....bad. New orings and gaskets fixed it right up.

With the leak so far forward I don't think that's it, but a flashlight shone under the passenger's side from behind the wheel should rule that out.

Funny you say that. Because I took a Ford Van to ford one time and they said there was a hole in the block of my 6.9L. Took it home and it was the oil cooler. Welded it up and all was fine. Still parked in the back Forty! Good luck.
