Can't make the move....

I almost decided to go take a look at this truck on ebay (item 4553468817). May be just o-rings. May be something else. Somebody is gonna make a big atta-boy or a big o sh#t.

Even if it's injectors, the buy it now price is a good $5K under book.

I'd be more concerned about where the drivers side battery is, and what happened to the airbox.

either the owner knows whats really wrong and doesn't want to disclose it or he thought he could wrench on it when he bought it but was a different story once he got it home. i think even for the price even with serious motor work needed it would end up coming out even but who knows. things like this scare me unless i am buying it from the owner who it went south on.

I'd go eyeball it anyway. If it's in good shape otherwise.....and 5k below book....you can do an engine swap if need be, and still come out ahead. Would be worth the look. He's definatly a "don't wanter", you might get him to come down even more.

Talked to the guy on the phone and he was very honest. The hose between the air box and the turbo has a split in it. Right front fender has been repainted. Tailgate is missing. Right rear wheel is a mismatch. He said he bought it intending to put a new motor in it but ran across a good deal on a 2000 before he got started on the 99. He said the guy he bought it from (for $9,000) told him it needed two injectors.

The gate and wheel is about $500.....can't say on the injectors.

Deduct those items from the price.....and make an offer after you've seen it.

and see if you can find out who he bought it from and how they split the hose, and crashed the right side of the truck up so bad.

I wasn't too worried about anything but the split intake hose. Afraid it may have been run like that for a while and dusted the engine. Guess I'll leave her alone....
