81 f150 turn signals not working

Ok, got this f150 for free. it had been sitting for 3 years in a feild and had condensation buildup all over inside. The headlights and tailights/brake lights work as do the hazard flashers but the turn signals dont. could this be inside the collum itself. I am new to F150s so i dont know what to expect fom them.

Thanks

Did you check the bulbs, make sure they have a good clean connection? Sometimes electrical connections just lose good contact. Some WD40 helps get the juice going at times.

You are aware that there are 2 flashers on these trucks. One for 4-ways, and the other for turn signals?

Let us know...

Bulbs are OK since they work with brake lights, and the reg. tail lights are ok

Where are you located? There are some great people on here and one of them might be close enough to swing by and take a look for you.

Ok I first swapped the flashers for new ones I had laying around with no change. So I started to trace the wiring around to see if I could find anything. This truck was a farm truck and some stuff was done very questionable. The truck has a trailer brake system on it that is the old style and it is wired directly into the fuse box. I first looked there then I got curious about this little blue toggle in the dash. I traced the wires from the toggle right through the firewall and down under the cab where they splice directly into the OEM wiring going to the rear. I still dont exactly know what the toggle does but on a long shot I noticed that it had frayed wires that were grounding out on the steering collum support and it was popping a fuse under the dash. I thought the fuse was for the radio because it also works when you put a new fuse in. Like I said, its not quite wired the way it should be. Anyways the blinkers work now and I still dont get the toggle switch.?.?.?.? oh, I also wired a relay in for the fuel pump because the wire was also just stuffed into the fuse box next to a fuse.thanks for all the help
