Sleeve around steering column shaft

Once you take the steering wheel off there is a clamp that attaches the column to the bottom of the dash and there is also a clamp on the base of the steering column where the shaft is attached to the steering box. Once these are taken off the sleeve may not stiil come off due to it hitting the inside ceiling of the truck. The steel shaft inside the column tube is still attached to the box; you will have to cut it off or take the box apart. to pull it out or just take the bolts out of the box and the entire thing should come out through the floor my 2 cents

Thanks
I don't want to take it out I just need to move it around so I can sand it before painting.
