Firestone vs. Airlift Airbags

I just had Airlift Bags put on and they seem to cause the rear end to ride more stiff than the Firestone bags I had on my '03 superduty. I deflated the bags almost all the way, and pushed on them. They do seem like a thicker, less forgiving type of rubber. Has anybody had a similar experience, or is it possibly just my imagination? By the way, Neither truck has/had overload springs. Thanks.

I have airlift bags in both of my trucks, work truck is always loaded but my play truck isn't and with 5# of pressure I can't even tell they are there. But with 3200 lbs of pin weight and 40 lbs in them it makes for a great ride.Denny

The bags may just need some time to soften up from the motion of the suspension. I know that several of the airbag companies all use Firestone airbags, so you may in fact have the same manufacturer of airbag. Ive got mine on the truck, I just havent had a chance to run the air lines yet.

Thanks for the input. I dropped the pressure down to 5lbs. when empty and it helps.
