What does everyone think about Royal Purple oil products? Is it all hype or do their products offer an advantage? Also, they make a product called Max Gear specificaly for differentials, could this product help reduce the rear axle noise that many of us have been experiencing? I may give it a try but was also wondering if anybody had any good or bad luck with their products.

 

Royal Purple, Redline, Amsoil...take your pick they all make synthetics..

Tell you the truth I'd be real careful what you put in there if it's still under warranty. You know it's first they will blaim if you do have problems. I'm pretty sure Ford uses a synthetic axle lube anyway.

If you got a problem with a noisy rear and putting this stuff in it cures it all you've done is hide it.. You still have the problem..

 

Yeah i just put it in my rearend and happy with it...


I used 75-90w with no porblem...i believe that FOrd changed from 75-90 to 75/80- 140w due to whine noise rearend axle
