And to answer you Question..the EA3.2 Take's in a whole lot more infomation on an engine!! Bore-stroke-Rod Length-small or large bearing surface's-Case pressure..windage-Piston skirt Length..Stock rocker's- improved rocker's-Roller Rocker's-Exact size of the Header's..Primary Diameter-Collector Dia. Primary Tube length-Collector Length..Head port Dia- Head port Length-Runner length-from The Plenum to the Valve.. lol...

Hrm, I thought the consensus was that DD2k was optimistic with it's numbers. Maybe not?

No Kurt, I think if you check some of my Past post's...you will see where I have said...Depending on the HP range it uasually come's in about 6 to 8hp from my EA3.... Depending??

But this program gets right down to the Nats ***......lol...but it take's awhile to log in all the info..if your jumping from build to build!!

It was a $700+ program..a couple years ago...

alot of Engine Builder's use it..they just dont claim they Do!!! lol..

Ok here we go: Your flow numbers, 10.25:1 compression, single plane intake, 870cfm carb, large tube headers and mufflers, your custom Comp cam. Came up with:

493hp @ 6000rpm, 478ft-lbs @ 4500rpm, 366ft-lbs @ 2000rpm.

Run it with the Crane 343941. You get almost the same hp, but a better (IMHO) torque curve.

Well Kurt, I still ibetween walk and dont walk, on the Cam.. there are a couple that will clear 500hp by about 12 to 25hp..but then again thats giving up some low end..

I guess I want to much.. .I want a nice lopy Idle also...Just to put some Fear in those New Dodge's....My Neighbor's for one !!

And gas Mileage is the least of my problems.. As the truck is not a Daily driver..But I want to keep it depenable enough to be, if ever needed...

Well I have a few more Sims to run....I am documenting all my Finds on the different cams...

We will see....Thanks for you Help with Verifiying the #s I came up with....

RapidRuss,

Have you tried playing with lobe separation numbers on any of those cams you have been running sims on?

You can get a custom ground cam with just the lobe separation changed for almost the same $'s as the pre ground one.

It depends on how you have the advance rigged. With the vacuum advance plugged into full manifold vacuum like I have, it idles good. 15-17" vacuum hot idle. With the vacuum advance plugged into ported vacuum, it's about 9" and sounds choppy and agressive. In both cases I'm running 6*BTDC initial. The vacuum advance pulls a lot of timing at idle when plugged into full manifold vacuum, enabling good idle with a big cam. The sound is still noticable though.
