BTW....BUDGET and FE...........DON'T fit in the same sentence.....
Larry..I think you should stop using the Moroso Calculator!! LOL..

On my EA3 Sim... I get 11.31 et. @ 119mph 650HP Pushing 4100lbs...

Larry / Russ:
If you don't mind here, can I ask if you two have compared $$ to spend/spent to get the numbers you are both looking at. I guess I'm asking the age old cost/benefit question, how much to get the iron's running like the Ebrocks...

I bought bare Eboks, put everything in them, the "port" work put me back $600. I'd have to really research the overall total cost in heads. I don't think I really want to know...LOL!!! I"m thinkin in the near $2k range for heads alone, complete. I guess if you start with iron the same way, it might be cheaper for the castings, but you save 42 lbs by using the Eboks! The only difference is the old castings will need guides/seats........so it might wash in the end? So the only advantage is WEIGHT?

As for HP, Russ. Your newer programs might be a bit more scientific then the old slide rule Moroso calculator?? LOL!! Does that SIM take into consideration slippage anywhere?? Does it conpensate for stick or automatic?
I know I will never get the ET that the MPH comes to. I don't have the tire/traction issue settled enough to get the ET. Too much slip/slidin' goin' on

LOL..Not really Larry...you can tell everyone you have Aluminum heads...and I cant...

Plus I do believe the Ed rpm heads fully ported will smoke the Stock ported one's...

But if I'am just looking at 500hp..Something just to have fun with street/strip...

I couldnt justify spendeng $1000 on bare heads and another $800 to a $1000 for the parts and the port work... 60 or so pounds more than your FE...Maybe more??

You know, I have a set of flow data for ported C4AE's, and a set of flow data for Keith Craft Stage 2 Edelbrock heads. The ported C4's flow slightly better than the stage 2 edelbrocks.

Russ, I think you'll be really happy with those heads.

Yeah Kurt , I think for what its all going to cost...... I'll be pretty happy all in all... It wont be a very high tech motor...But it seems to have good low end TQ and Plenty of HP... For what all it is?? Or isnt?? lol..

I have to check up on My DD2 Sim..I seem to be getting a conflick of alot more hp out of the EA3.2......and there usually within about 6 to 8 HP from one another?

With 2.090" I and 1.730'E Fully ported and a Holley 870cfm, I'am getting 504hp at 6000rpm and 480lbs of TQ at 4500 to 5000rpm... with the Cam straight up??

And alot more on the EA3....Something is strange??

If you can get that kind of numbers from a stock head...that ain't bad..especially at THAT price!! I need to look, I think I might have a set of C4's at home. They might just make a nice set of street heads.

Got a whole 390 sitting on a stand. Could be a hot rod motor for the '67 F100

Well I'm going to run some numbers through my DD2k, when I get some time. Cleaning out the attic now... ugh. Electrician coming tomorrow, getting kitchen redone. It's a mess around here.

But yeah, when I get some time, I'll run it.

You know Russ, a roller cam might be the way to go with that motor!
