I'm putting a new carb on my 72 f100 with a 360. There is a vacuum port on the passenger side top corner of the card kinda angled down a little. Where does it go. It wasn't hooked up on the original carb. Also, my truck dosen't have the choke heat tube. Where can I get one or how can I make one? Thanks.
I went to NAPA and bought a direct replacement, just like the original. I think the vacuum port is called a "choke clean air tube". Where should it go? Thanks.
I don't think it's much of a vacuum port. I think it's more like a vent. It should have some hose coming off it that connects to a metal tube that connected to the exhaust manifold. Kinda like the other metal line that feeds warm air to the choke. I hit a bump and my metal tube fell off so I just stuffed a bolt into the hose. All I could figure was that it fed warm air into the fuel bowl of the carb.
