Granateeli Mass Airflow Sensor?

Has anyone tried putting of of these on a 96 or newer V8 truck? Do they make much of a difference? I figured I would add some shorty headers with it to get max power..Any comments are appreciated..

Unless you peg the stock MAF, an aftermarket air meter isn't needed.

The Granateeli is a bigger bore that it suppose to feed it more air then stock..For $350 I think it should give you some gains.."I can get alot better deal" Thats why im asking about it.

Altering the MAF (from stock) will mess up the PCM's transfer function and may cause the motor to run poorly. I would check to see if it is a "direct drop-in", meaning no additional tuning is needed. If not, then a chip will be needed to tie everything together.

You wont notice any difference in anything other than your pocket book on an otherwise stock motor just adding an aftermarket larger bore MAF. The factory MAF can and will provide all the cfm needed for stock or some minor bolt on engine applications.

I think the gains (if any) will be minimal. The larger bore size doesn't mean anything unless the stock MAF becomes the bottleneck in your inlet tract. In many cases, the air meter will peg before that happens.
