ive run seafoam in both my fuel tank and through the brake booster. noticed smoother idle, 2 mpg(yes, 2) increase, and more power.
on another note, how long are you guys leaving the seafoam in your oil for? ive been told to do it for about 50 miles then change the oil, just wondering what everyone else is doing as far as this goes.

Anyway, Ran Seafoam once, made a holy hell of a smoke cloud, didn't seem to help or hurt anything. Gas mileage stayed put, power stayed put, ran just as smoothly and authoritatively as before. Ran 1/3 of the can through the crankcase, I still have that damn noise lifter tick.

I have used it in the fuel system of my girlfriends Chevy blazer and I didn't really notice much difference nor did she. I used it in the fuel system in my 86 Bronco and noticed a cleaner smoother idle and I too gained about 2 MPG. I haven't run it through the crank case yet but that will be coming soon.
I also heard that you can take the vacuum line off of your brake booster and suck some up into the system that way. Anyone care to clarify that one for me and tell me why and what it'll improve? I'm just wondering.

I didn't read the entire thread, so maybe some one already said this....
Cleaning the intake system on your vehicle regularly (I do mine every 15-20k) keeps everything clean enough that you won't notice a difference after servicing it. The key is to NOT let the intake, valves, etc get so dirty that using a product like seafoam makes a huge difference. It's like waiting until the transmission fluid is dark and full of debris to service your transmission.

Seafoam is basically 80% pale oil (a light oil, 20viscosity) and alcohol. If that is something you would throw in the gas or your oil- knock yourself out. I am putting a Mustang back together from the use of it for a friends son. If you are using a good motor oil, you won't need any additives. If you are using a quality fuel, you won't need any additives. There are no magic cures in a bottle. Most all curealls in a bottle are most magical when it comes to relieving some of the money from your pocket. Other than that, they are crap at best.
