How many miles on UR Powerstroke!

My Dad has about 200,000 on his 1995 F350 7.3L He had a tranny failure at 90,000...but absolutely no problems since then. I just got a 2000 F250 7.3L. Just wondering how many guys have BIG miles (300,000 plus).

the '97 has 213,6xx, had to replace two SETS of ball joints, a water pump, two alternators and a ujoint. I got it with 162xxx on it so its been good to me.

the '96 is still too new to me, been a lil P.I.T.A. since i got it, but it supposedly has 90K on the motor.

99, bought with 150k. Runs great no problems. Had to dump some money in the A/C (not cheap), but other than that, it runs and looks just as good as my friends 02 that has 40k on it.

Searched for 8 months before I found my rig.... had to go with a TTB front end because i wanted an X- cab.. and they didn't make a X-cab 350 in 97... Good to hear ur rig has 244K!! hopefully mine will last that long too!!

At 174,000, mine runs like a top.
I have replaced the transmission, and the primary and secondary injector wiring harnesses. So all in all the major repairs cost 4000 for X'misssion and 1800 for wiring harness. (less than 6000 for all repairs)
Hope mine runs as long as my friends 92. It made it to 370,000, before he gave it to his kid, who promptly destroyed it.
I did not buy mine new, either. It had a hundred thousand on it when i got it from a friend.

Same reason I bought my '97. Couldn't find a 350 extra-cab 4x4 - they didn't make one. Rob, I think they made 350 extra-cabs, just not 4x4.

Shouldn't be a problem. According to what I've read, these trucks will basically run indefinitely with proper care. There are several accounts of 1,000,000+ mile PSD's on the internet. While that may be a long shot, judging from what I've read I'd expect a good engine with healthy cylinders to go at least 600,000 miles. Of course, you may have to overhaul/replace the transmission once or twice, but that's still a lot cheaper than the depreciation hit you take on a new truck!

When I took my truck to a Firestone where a buddy of mine is the manager to have them look it over before I bought it, when the mechanic found out it had 243K miles on it, he said, "Hell, it's just gettin' broken in!"
