Hey folks, I am looking for help with a 99 4.0 ranger. It is a friend of mine that lives way out of town with no internet. Anyway here are the problems:
1. No pwr to windows (checked the fuses and coudln't figure out which relay it is). Switches are okay, will try to find a set to test.
2. ABS light on dash won't go off
3. Interior lights won't work? (changed bulbs and tried to rotate fuses)
If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated. I tried but I own a 7.3 PSD"X" and it is totally different. Thanks in advance............

 

Did your friend check all the related fuses and/or relays, including those in the power distribution box under the hood?

Thanks, I will download the manuel and have him take a look. It is weird because he has power to the door locks and mirrors but none for the windows.

 

You may also want to look at the "one touch down relay" in the relay box for the windows. I don't see any common connection to the problems except the pehaps the GEM, which I doubt.

I can't find the relay, it only has a fuse in the pwr station in the engine bay box. I am looking for the relay, but according to the manuel there is no relay only a fuse. I would appreciate any help.

 

I think it's located under the dash near the GEM, couldn't find the specific location, I'll keep looking.
