52 Wiper Questions
Pulled my wiper motor last night. As I thought it is electric. I thought 52 used vacume? If not, and it is a stock motor - does anyone know how to wire it up ? The switch is gone, and there are no wires leading to the motor whatsoever.
As I'm not just a fair weather driver, I really hate to depend on RainX !!

My '52 has the electric. It has three connections for bullet connectors on the parking switch. I have studied it a lot and damned if I can figure it out! The parking switch grounds the motor lead to the case when the wipers are not in park'd position, and breaks the ground when they are. So I can only assume the wipers are hot all the time and the switch actually grounds the motor?? Either that or it is 2-speed and I'm missing something.
There are two motor leads; one to the brushes and one to one of the field coils (only). There are no resistors in the switch as far as I can tell. My wires were toast, so I don't know which went to which terminal.

51-52 Electric Wipers
I have a complete unit here with a new wiring harness, and switch. If you send me an email it will be fresh in my mind to get the diagram for you. I can scan it and send it to you.
I just learned how to download pic in my gallery, and don't yet know how to download onto the forum. If you know how this is done let me know and I will put it on for others to see.
Also it is a 2 speed system, and I believe it, the switch gets its power through the ignition switch. The is transformed to the wiper motor. They work great, I have them in my 53.

51-52 Electric Wipers
In reply to ALBUQ F-1, the wiring schematic is in my gallery. Didn't know how to post it on the reply.
Hope this will help you out. As mentioned in my blurb on my 53 as undergoing a complete wire harness, and it has the Electric Wipers, I can find out where the 4th wire goes off the switch.
Good luck with yours.

There is a wire that is broken off it must go to the power, this is a 2 speed motor
Anyone know a replacement switch that might work ? I've searched and searched many sites, and all I can find is the ****.
THANKS BUBBA
