92 EFI 302 Replacement Motorswap

I have a 92 F150 4x4 I plan on replacing the motor in. Had a 302, putting another EFI 302 in it. My question is I've never done a motor swap; having said that, I do believe I have the experience to do it. Anybody who's done this before have any advice for me?

That swap is pretty simple, you can use just about any 5.0/302(5.0 truck motor, Mustang 5.0HO, Explorer 5.0) but you can only use the bare longblock if it is anything but a truck motor and in all cases you cannot use any wiring that comes with the donor motor. When I have done this I remove the upper intake and disconnect all the wiring, disconnect the exhaust and motor mounts, remove the trans mounting bolting and torque converter bolts but do not separate them yet, remove the fan and rad shroud, remove the accessories and mounting brackets to create a little more room, place a piece of plywood over the rad and attach the hoist with a chain running diagonally from the back corner of the passenger side head to the front corner of the drivers side head or if the factory lift brackets are still present use those. Then lift and pull the engine forward enough to disengage the trans and TC being careful not to pull the TC out, and once free turn the engine in the bay a little and lift and pull it out. I have managed to do this without removing the hood if the hoist chains are kept as short as possible, but if you have another body to help it's pretty easy to lift the hood off. I have done a complete R&R in a 2 day weekend solo assuming the replacement is prepped and ready to go just to give you an idea.
