cool blues are good for budget reasons. they arent really blue but a lot cleaner looking than the stock ones. i would get silverstars if i had some money though.

Exclamation Not Worth The Money!!!

Hey, I have the silverstars in my 97 F250 HD and they suck, the projection is horrible and the brightness isnt anywhere near the tucan blues i had a while ago, im hoping they break soon so i have a reason to get new ones as they arent worth the money, id go back to getting some of the import bulbs that are blue or super bright, they are better than the silverstars, but thats just my .02

The last I heard was they don't make Silverstars for the 2044 and 2005 F150 low beam, only the fog lights.

Just thought that I would give you guys my .02 worth on the light thing and what I found out. I contacted Sylvania about the bulbs for my truck and this is what they told me because I was having a hard time finding them except for going to the dealer. Sylvania stated that when the 9008 was concepted that the D.O.T. (Dept. of Transportation) manted that there could not be any special coating applied to the bulb. However, that if a manufactuer wanted to do this, they would have to do a wavier with the D.O.T. and request it. To my knowledge as this time, no company has done it yet. I think that there must be a substantial fee or something associated with it or else someone would have done it by now. As for me, as one of the 1,000,000+ owners of this truck, I would like something a bit different than the ordinary. But hey, that's just me and my two cents worth.

Check overseas companies. I dont beleive that they have to "abide" by the stuff that we do here in the states. I guess the H8 is popular in japan, who knew? Anyway, drop the 300 and get hid's. I saw a guy that sells them on Ebay for about $295. He has H8's and in alot of temps too. I think it's hid kits or something. Anyway, saw a superduty with hid's yesturday, looked awsome, made me really notice. Just hope the officers dont notice too.

Great news - IIRC my '05 Stang GT has the same 9008's (H13's) and I had recevied the same reply from Sylvania that they were not going to proceed with the SilverStar in the H13. I've had EXCELLENT luck with the SilverStars - had them in the headlights and fog lights of my last 3 vehicles and they were great! Just a great brilliant white beam (not yellow) and a bit brighter than stock 15%....

I just got a set of Nokya replacement H13 9008 and installed them in my F150. What a difference! Much whiter than the yellow stock Sylvania H13. I already put Silverstar 9005STs in my fogs, and now the colors of the fogs and headlamps match.

Big improvement! $49.95 per set:

I've ordered an '06 Mustang, and I'm really happy to see that the fogs and headlamps are the same model.

Hey Dusty - congrats on the '06 Mustang - what did your order? Also, I would be interested in the Nokya's - especially for my '05 Mustang GT - as I have already changed out the fogs on that car with the SilverStars and they don't match the dim looking stock yellow headlights at all.....but your link doesn't work.....can you e-mail me with a phone number or something?

thx
