I love my truck

Hey guys. I've finally been driving my truck a little. It's been since last June when she was wrecked pretty good in an accident. Thanks to eBay and a few good friends, she's back on the road. A little squirrelier than I remember but I haven't been going far from home so I can still get under there and make some final adjustments. She's got a long way to go but she is in one piece. It's funny, up untill about a week or so ago, I would have let her go for very little money. I'd actually forgotten how much I really love my truck. John

I noticed the title for this thread ("I love my truck") and all I could think of was, "aw John, I love you too." Sniff sniff. That kind of love sorta brings a tear to the eyes.

I'm really struggling with the same thing on my truck; it's been so long since I've driven it, that I forget why I bought it. I've never had a car project that lasted this long, it's a new experience. Thanks for the motivation!

Albuq F1, I'm in the same boat. I think mine might be rolling at the end of the summer though after 4 years. I did go to a show at the Lake of the Ozarks this weekend, 600 + vehicles was the tally as I was leaving, not a single 48-52 Ford truck and only 3 flatheads total. That got me pretty hyped to get my 51 done.

It's good to hear that stuff, keeps the rest of us motivated. I had mine running af ew weeks ago and went around the block. Basically it is just cab and chassis, no fenders, bed, hood, exhaust, etc. But I figured I better drive it before I tore it apart or I might just give-up and haul it to the crusher.

Glad to hear you're on the road!!

Bobby
