What are these

I found my head numbers they are D2TEAA what kind of heads are these can anyone tell me anything about them also I am going to an old junk yard today can anyone tell me some head numbers I should look for any help would be great thank you.

You've got a set of 1972 truck heads. Replace them if at all possible. I believe the hp for a 72 truck was somewhere around 230 at the rear wheels and around the same or a little higher for the torque. 72 was the first emissions year. I know that the 72 car heads are the worst ones that ford made and I think the truck ones are very similar. The heads to look for are C8VE, C9VE, and D0VE, If you are extremely lucky, D0OE, but expect a heavy price tag.

Hey thanks allot 72 huh I thought it was a 74 because the block number was D4TE but I guess I was wrong thanks allot guys anymore info would be great.

It sounds like..

IMHO that You've got a truck FE 390 (or 360 maybe) engine. The D2TEAA head is a very common and good FE truck head, and the D4.... blocks are good too.
