Where can i find the tools for removing the valves from the block on a flatV8? I figure they probably wont be cheap but hopefully reasonable.

 

depends on the flathead series you're talking about......early has split guides and tulip-based valve stems. Late flatheads have solid guides and modern, straight stem valves. Tools for early can be found on ebay - get a shop or engine manual that shows pictures of what you're looking for. For the late flathead, a simple valve spring compresser will work - check your local parts house.
