Ford dealer job opportunity
Hey guys I'm posting this thread out of pure excitement, I just wanna tell every one Ive wanted to be a technition since I was in 7th grade and I finally got a "big break" I guess you can say, I 'm most likely getting a job at a Ford dealership this summer through the Automotive Youth Education System program(AYES) because of my automotive class at Hunterdon County Polytech, Hunterdon County NJ. For those of you that dont know what AYES is its a Ford and AAA sponsored program that gives young kids like me (16 going on 17) an oppprtunity to work in car dealerships across the nation with a professional technition as a mentor, I also get a $4000 Snap-on tool set for about $380 and If I work at the dealership for 2 years I get to keep them. The Flemington Car and Truck country family of dealerships are the ones that work mostly with the Polytech school giving kids the opportunity to work in the dealerships, its not just Ford dealers you can work at theres alot to choose from if you get accepted. I got accepted to work at Flemington Ford after an interview with the Head-Tech/service manager and letting my teacher know I'd like to work in a Ford dealership. I start this program the first or second week of June making some were around 8 dolllars and hour which is dang good considering the opportunity and education I'm receiving. I think that the owner of the dealerships is doing a really great thing for young kids like me to get work experiance and training. I guess this just goes to show you how hardwork, good grades, and staying outta trouble gets you farther in life.
Thanks,
Kevin
Thanks,
Kevin

Good luck man, I'm in the Ford ASSET program which is the ford factory training and I got a job at a ford dealership too. Now I can't wait for school to get out so I can hit the door running from my dealership. I hope you get treated a lot better then I have been cause it seems to be a good job if your at a good place. And if it dosen't work out you still get some nice tools for cheap.

Thanks guys I sure hope that the dealership is a good one too but if its not I guess I'll have to manage cause thats all part of life and it will show me weather or not dealerships are right for me but as of now im thing positive and Im sure it will be good, the guy that interviewed me said there biggest thing is being on time and attendance but that wont be a problem for me since im not affraid to work like alot of the rich stuck up kids in my school were mommy and daddy give them cash and goodies hand over foot.
